Wanted to get my first crab of the year. Caught a dozen but they were all to small. It was still a great way to start the year. In short pants, blue skys and a beautiful day at the coast. I still have 364 days in 2012 to get my first keeper and many more.

I was surprised you caught some blue crabs. I don't start going after them again until the middle of March.

Man you guys are lucky. I would be happy to catch a dozen crabs even if they are to small. Great report " first of the year". What method of crabbing were you using?

I just put some hand lines out. It was windy and I did not feel like messing with the boat.
