I would say MD, but this poll is going to be a little skewed towards MD because the majority of the members that post crab in MD waters.

Yea that's true..Most people on here have had crabs from other places. I can't recall eating crabs from other places to often, but I've had nj crabs " good" southern crabs fl, tx, la, "nice crabs" Maryland- eastern bay- WYE "BEST". I lived in DE for 5 years and had some real tasty crabs as well. Best I've ever had were wye river crabs.

There must be a real valid reason why most references about crabs have the word "Maryland" in there somewhere!

I hate all this wye talk all the time. It's like it's the only river that produces crabs Sure it's nice but I have other spots that produce just as good if not better.

In January, Florida, La and Texas have the best crabs but in July Aug and Sept the Chesapeake has the best. See a theme here?

THERE ARE NO MD CRABS. They just visit MD. But if it's true what you say about there not being any crabs in VA, where DO MD crabs come from? Certainly not from NJ, our crabs are smaller and have a slightly different color...

It IS the only river with crabs! Don't you know anything? I only get to go to the wye a couple times a year, the rest of the season its crab alley, the severn and maybe the south river once in a while. I always do much better in the severn river then the wye and crab alley area is my favorite. Taste wise crab alley and wye are my favorites. Notice a trend( all in Maryland).

Enough from you Maryland guys, you are stuck on the "Home Town Boy Syndrome" Let's hear from some guys from other places that have tasted crabs from other areas. I know Jim "Shellfish" has spoken, but lets hear from more. I have only tasted crabs from my back yard, Massachusetts, the Weweantic River, so I can't really judge. But all you Maryland guys would walk through six feet of cow [curd] to defend your precious Wye.............That should piss off at least a couple of you die hards !!!!!
