Ok Hello folks, I need some help. I was out last night and had a few good ones and the normal averages. When I took the 25 inside to clean them I ended up with two that had white meat in them. Not the usual semi transparent meat you would expect from uncooked seafood. Are they bad or diseased?? They weren't dead by a long shot. I chucked them because I never had any like that before and don't have the urge to kneel in front of the porcelain chum bucket. Thanks.

Learned something new from that post... I have caught several with the pepper spot disease and never knew what that was. I always threw them out when I noticed that around gills and meat. Do you guys typically chunk these too? I know it says they are safe to eat but.. kinda concerning

I've eaten hundreds of them with pepper spot. Won't hurt you a bit. Flavor and texture are not changed by it.
