Poured a couple of concrete weights for trotlines this past weekend, built a new propstick the weekend before, picking up 15 traps off of a guy in Manayunk tomorrow.

I just cleaned up the hunting gear and covered the boat so i'm ready for any bad weather ahead.  Getting a nice list together of things to do and get for fishing and crabbing.Probabaly start actually doing something around late feb or early March as long as the weather stays mild.

Lot's of oysters to get first! Tis the season in New England for oysters and clams. Then stripers! Then crabs. Oh, can't wait for the crabs, but plenty of seafood to get me through.

Chopped the back wall of my cabin off the boat.  Gonna pull the roof off today.

Still gotta cut the cabin down, raise the roof (literally), fab up an aluminum fuel tank, cut down the hull a little bit, add a keel, redo the gunnels, paint, then reinstall everything.

Then move the side console to center on my other boat.

When you get done with that Ray, could you build me a 27' boat something like a Maycraft pilot house with a bracket on the back.  Design it light so a 115 four stroke will push it about 25kts. and strong enough to hold say 4 tons of fish plus gear.  I'll bring you up all the material that I have in my recycle pile.  Grin  If you have an extra radar unit and side scan sonar unit laying around, you can mount thoses on it as well.

I'm too busy catching fish to do it.  Of course with all the extra time I have not posting on any other site, I should have time.

I have two more weeks of hunting to get through then the prepping for spring will begin! Need to finish prepping my last 4 big pots then put new bearings in the trailer. Only other thing I gotta do is get to Bass Pro to get a new reel for the spring striper run!

Sounds good.  We will do a nidacore floor and cabin.  Kevlar stringers and aluminum fuel tank.  I got a raymarine and furuno radar laying around.  Should I just put both on?

Sure add them both.  I'll use an IPOD Nano for tunes.  I can make the stern rack out of balsa wood.

Reading the book Beautiful Swimmers for starters!  Got 15 topless traps to get.  Someone stole a bunch out of my boat at the wye in october.  Already took the paint off the bottom of the boat so got to paint in the spring.  Get a new depth finder.  Just went over trotline, need to pick up some snoozes.  Like some say BOAT stands for break out another thousand.  Want to be 100% ready by May 15.  Like to put a top on my boat but I will see.
