that's agood question. minimum would be to have all safety gear thats required on a comm. boat. and if the guy with tfl has the lic. registered to his boat i'm just not sure he could use it on your boat. you would also have to have his day off marked on your boat and his comm. # marked on the boat and all gear and floats.

  That being said, sounds like they relaxed the law quite a bit from last year??   

muddyclaw,    If the boat gets trailered, does the Tow Vehicle still need the tfl # on it ??
