Can you make one or have your local welding shop make one for you. Guess it depends on what your number is on how hard it would be. I lucked out as my license # is 222 so one single 2 did the trick for me. Another thought is the last few years I started using a dremel with I think it's a 5/16" wood cutting bit. Works great! Just a couple thoughts that may help save you a few $$$. good luck

I made both of mine. Each 5 digit numbers. Use 1/8" round stock tack welded to 1/4 or 3/8 round stock. Stick it in a fire for 5 minutes and do about 8-10 buoys.
Mike Keller sells "real" electric branders for around $120, last time i checked.

I think Eddie Heath will make one up with your numbers on it.
Don't know the cost though.

Mike Keller LTD has an electric one for $15 - but it looks like a wood burner. You have to get a catalog or call the 800#, it's not online.

The cheap wood burners work ok on any of the foam, including styrofoam corks. Don't think I'd run it all day but for a box at a time it's good and no down time in the torch or fire.
I made a set from 1/8" square stock brazed to the same stock sideways as a backer and that works too, but it's a pain to shape some of the numbers, and isn't much faster.

If you plan on doing any amount of buoys, get a real brander from Mike Keller, with the interchangable bronze letters. Once it heats up, its way faster then a dremel or waiting for a non electric one to heat up.

Check this rig out, can grill, smoke meat, and mark your buoys from one flame source:)
