Me , personally i wouldn't season it. Just use it. Give it a season it will be seasoned enough... At the end of the year i bleach all mine.

tried that with 3- 12' lines that led to a pot [experimental only] set in the wye.....no better results,but you could plainly see where the crabs where eating the line..
