I bought the fishing permit for Island Beach State Park and have been trying to find info on if you are able or not able to crab there. I saw a few people clamming on the bay side. Anybody know anything about this??

I am relatively sure that crabbing is not prohibited there.

Ask them at the guard shack when you first pull in, they will tell you.....and ask for a map.

You can crab there and catch some but there are no creeks or rivers in the area.  I have gone along the shore in the past and done ok but never as many as on the other side of the barnegat where there is more fresh water influx from the land.

OC knows a honey hole over there but he blindfolds you first before he shows you  Wink
