From reading on this Tread, (correct me if im wrong) the potomac has different regulations then the patuxant.  I saw the post on the Potomac sport crabbing liscense.  does that mean i can run my 1200' line on the potomac with just my recreational liscense,  i also need the sport fishing liscense?  im confused

Im not positive but you need to get a separate license for crabbing the potomac since its not just MD waterways, VA and DC as well

alright, i think i am just gonna go to the DNR and ask them. I plan on doing most of my crabbing on the patuxant, and some on the potomac.  Thats probly the best solution

where it gets confusing is that although I have a maryland bay sport license , do i follow prfc regs and limits as a licensed or unlicensed? is the reciprocity for crab as well?
