I mostly use traps and trotlines. The trotline lets me cover more water and have more bait out but from my one year of experiance they seem to be better at different periods of the season. Can't wait for the upcoming season to test out that theory alittle more.

I plan to use comm pots this season if I can get my hands on a few cheap ones so i can store some over the winter and during bad weather when i can't make it out.  Also plan to handline some so the little guy can get in on the action.

Traps to find the crabs plus a line to drop on them.  Sometimes it takes all the gear you have to make a good catch.

Interesting, like I thought running traps and trotlining would be popular, but I thought scraping would have some popularity too...Charlie

Buying or having someone give them to you is getting crabs but not catching them. Good topic for another poll though...Charlie

I usually use a string of traps. About (20) and let them soak. In the meantime we drop some hand lines, but nothing gets me happier than a 5yr. old yelling to mom-mom get the net get the net! I smile to my self every time I think of these memories! and I,m quite sure there are more to come.
