I had to run down to Smith point the other night to meet a ship, and the water temps in the Maryland portion of the bay were 46 (north)to 48 degrees (south).  This was on my transducer at about 12 feet down.
Won't take long to warm the bay up to 55.

That's not good!  I just left Baltimore an hour ago (a day later than planned), heading down your way. Hope the weather hold out. It's already a bumpy ride.
I had 49 degrees today on the depth sounder in Baltimore harbor.

It got cold when we got near Virginia. The air temp was colder and the water temp dropped to 46.6 degrees. I was relieved by a tug from Norfolk and headed back up the bay. Felt like we were being chased by the snow and cold. It reads 48.22 degrees in the harbor.

My transducer is 12' down, the boat draws 16.3 feet of water. It's about normal for a tug 102' long.
