Hey everyone,

I'm Lauren from Salem County NJ.  I've crabbed on the Eastern Shore of Maryland off of docks, with just chicken necks and rope.  I just got a new kayak and thinking of possibly going crabbing in the Delaware Bay and the lil creeks with my kayak.  So just looking around for ideas and tips.  I have my college degree in wildlife management and love exploring new things and ideas to come up with fun things to do, even if they're slightly redneck in the way I accomplish them.... I have a nissan altima and went off roading in the pine barrens to look at kayak launches and hit a hole so hard I popped my headlight out... Whoops oh well nothing a lil duct tape wont fix!

Well you joined a site full of nice red necks lol. I've seen a lot of reports from people that crab with kayaks. There's a guy that made a YouTube video and posted on here. Go back on the Maryland reports and look for metroman. He's the man for that.. Good luck and have fun this season.

Welcome Aboard! There is a lot of info on this site that should be helpful to you. Like CW said above just search Metroman or kayaks and you should be busy and or entertained for hours. As far as being a redneck goes, there are some on here that claim to be rednecks and there are others of us that prove it! (You may want to add a few coat hangers to your fix-it kit in case you have more structural repairs that need to be made). Don't forget to post reports and pics! No report or claim is legit w/o pics!  laugh  Good Luck! Stay Safe!

Yes if claming a crab over 8 inches, you will need a pic. Just go back and see what happened to crappycrabber  laugh Shocked

Search the word Kayak to the upper right.   You'll see that you "aren't alone."   Grin
