Did ya have puppies or jump shooting? All my rabbit spots were washed out with the hurricanes. Now overhunted I'll walk 5 hours to jump 2 rabbits in the marsh. Last yr was the first year that I can remember that I didn't shoot a rabbit.

Had the dogs out. They were confused on where to go with the number of rabbits out. We were at my friend's buddy's place (if that makes sense). Normally, the places I have permission to hunt we shoot 7-8, see another 7, and get a good 5 or 6 hunts like that. Not like this place, it is by far the most rabbits I've ever seen concentrated in an area. lol

Rabbit hunting is fun. You just have to be careful where everyone is mostly if you are in some thick woods. I had a blast the last tme I went. It looks like you did as well.

Aren't they all. I love hearing that yelp. I saw two guyson the way to the beach last weekend off of rt 1 as you go past Nassau walking towrds each other. Hopefully neither one was planning to shoot. You really have to trust the people your with.

Must be some super habitat - haven't seen that many bunnies for a long time. Good to see there are still places where they can thrive.

Rabbit hunting is always a blast, especially joking around with the person who misses! But be ready for it when you miss. Can't dish out the heckle without having them in return.

When I was a young'n we always hunted rabbits with beagles. Learned to call the dogs and get them excited if ya jumped a rabbit and put 'em on its sent. Could tell if a dog was on a cold trail by the way it barked. We had a herd of dogs. 8. Had my own shotgun when I was 7 hunting with my Grandpa and Dad. The good old days. Would out kill the old men every time. They couldn't keep up with me and I always was able to cut the dogs off before the rabbit got to them. Ronnie
