2012 NJ Fluke Regulations were just announced: 17.5 inch with a bag limit of five fish. Season is a long one, extending from May 5 through September 28.

I am stoked!

My itch just got itchier!  Hopefully, that 1/2" (plus the five extra days) will put a few more pounds of fish on the boat.  I don't care much about the reduction in bag limit, since I haven't met the man that can pull eight 17.5" fluke out of NJ waters.  If you see him, get his boat's name.  Thanks for the info!

I only had 2 keepers last season and one was in my crab trap. One was 24" and the other was 21". Here in New York the magic number was 20.5 and above. Rumor has it that the regs were going to change this year, but I really doubt it.
