Warm weather and water temps (and maybe the fun of the Grabbe's gathering yesterday) are making me think about kicking off my crabbing season earlier than ever this year.    When do you intend to kick things off?

Technically, our first date with the blues will be April 10, going to north central Florida on the gulf side.  Hope they're hungry!

The first day I see temps above 65 with no wind, I'm in.  Ended last season with a skunk, might as well start this one the same way. Undecided

My brain needs to bob around on the water soon.

I with Jack.  7 days to go and hopefully can refresh the taste buds.  Not expecting much but just want to try.  I'll start with about 60 pots and add or pick up after getting a feel with whats going on.

I started getting keepers mid June last year. With what looks like an early spring I'm planning on mid May this year. But if I go fishing any place crabs might be before that I might throw out a hand line just to see what happens
