Ditto the Bass Fishing or any fishing but you're also only about 1.5 hours from either coast.  Ons side or the other might make a nice day trip. Hopefully your taking in a Sprint Training game.

There's a lot of lakes around there too FP.  Gotta be someplace to fish from the land besides the pond or rent a boat to get out on da water.

Have fun FP.. My girlfriend wouldn't let me go crabbing in Hawaii. We went to pearl harbor, while driving over the bridge i saw what looked like crab pots. I wanted to get some handlines setup. She said we had all summer in Maryland for that Undecided

You're only an hour from Port Canaveral/Cocoa Beach.  You cross the Indian River to get there.  Pull up underneath almost any of the bridges (you'll see the cutouts from the camper and truck "traffic"), and you can fish from the banks, or wade out right next to the channels at low tide.  You can watch the fish jumping around you.

I've both fished and crabbed at the dock here on Sykes Creek plus there's lots of creeks that you can access from the shore line to do both. It's about an hour drive from Universal Orlando. http://www.ulumay.org/

...forget fishing and crabbing and go straight to clearwater.
Went down for 2 weeks to see family, drove the whole state checking things out...had the best time in clearwater.
