Commercial Captns in FL quick question and sorry to bother yal.  There is a new guy at the FWC other than Rick and Nancy in the commercial licensing department and I asked him a question today about the RS.  I have a RS and blue crab endors etc.  If you document 5K in one year (landings in our out of state or crew shares) of working on the water I thought you are covered for the next 3 years in regard to keeping your RS?  To get the initial RS I had to show that I made 5K in one year. Huh

5K in landings in ANY one of the past 3 years(12 month calender) or 5K in crew shares(crew share statement or 1099). If you used the 1st year in the 3 yr period then your RS is good for 1 year, 2nd yr, then good for 2 years and so on.
I don't think other states landings count as far as trip tickets but a 1099 will.
