Bwhahahahahaha. You make big joke, right?

How many times has someone posted on here about a NRP person stopping them and either writing a ticket or a warning, about something that turned out to be not illegal?

Hopefully there isn't some judge out there just pencil-whipping the warrants through...

Reds,

Gotta share a story with you.  Buddy of mine was gill netting the other week and coast guard boat came out of Oxford and checked them.  There were 3 boxes of net sitting up on the stern rack ready to go, with some more on the floor.  The first words out of the their mouths was: "Are you guys oystering?"  There was not one piece of gear on the boat to oyster with.  Sort of like me walking up to a plumber that has pipe in his hand and asking if he is laying concrete today.  You just gotta love it.

I've had the coast guard board me in the Bay and tell me I was in violation of a Federal Statute, that come to find out, shouldn't have been applied until 12 miles out in the ocean.

Years ago on the wye, DNR pulled up to me and asked why didn't I have boat numbers on my boat

I proceeded to chew him out, explaining to him why boat numbers were not required on my vessel

he pulled out the book and showed me in writting why I needed boat numbers

he then proceeded to give me a warning ticket

 laugh laugh laugh laugh

I said "thank you"

Reds, the md gazette sat. feb 18 th. page A3 there's a small blurb saying that the states atorney or attorey general has comfirmed that court orders were obtained by dnr.this is listed in the arudel digest section i believe and is a very small article. I wonder why it didn't get more space.

Is that legal? DNR wouldn't do anything illegal would they? Also, I remember not so long ago that there was a tee shirt printed and sold by MWA that said, Save A Waterman, Sink A Whaler, which caused a big stink with the DNR.
