This is a question concerning the refridgeration of soft crabs for 3 or 4 days i would say crabs live best in 45 degree cooler/ walkin, but what about a smaller 4 tank commercial scale? I could ship everyday but that would be expensive. Household fridges are usually too cold and crabs die. What do yall suggest?

I was worried a fridge would be the best option. But that would mean 2 or 3 fridges, which I guess is neccesary. And I thought about the walkin shed idea ,but i am trying to avoid building something permanenet

An ac unit will dry them out.  You need a drip chiller not forced cold air.  use the refers and warm them up to 45

A refer that has no fan inside.  It has cold plates that the air naturally circulates through just by the rise of warm air and the falling of cold.  Called a drip chiller because condensation forms on the plates and drips down to a drain usually in the floor.  Doesn't take the moisture out of foods like a condenser with a fan blowing over it.  Nothing kills crabs, hard or soft, faster than drying them out.  Works well for oysters and clams/mussels too.  Hope this helps...
