well, my haul is matching ron's. went out at 0600 this morning. i had some thick fog. the seas were flat so that is good. the fog was so thick that i ran the line in the wrong direction twice. thank goodness for gps. there were at least 3 more lines crossing me. in two places there are three or four lines crossing. it makes it a little difficult to keep the line when so many are crossing. saw about 3 or 4 more crabbers putting out this morning. crazy because this area didn't have this kind of traffic in years past. well the totals for today are:

110 traps
71lbs #1"s
21lbs #2"s
1 shedder

first pic makes it looks like there would be no fog, but let me tell you, when i made the turn, i ran into a fog bank that could make you write a stephen king novel.. it was as bad as it can be.

The fog was thick by me too.  Could only see 100 yds at times.

Joey, Keep an eye out.  If we keep posting our catch I'm afraid we might get invaded from the north... again. laugh laugh

Good catch buddy.  When the grass starts to grow on the trap your catch will improve.

Turn your bb wire the other way and your bait will last longer.

Ha. They would be fools then. They are catching much better up there and towards the east. Only reason I'm where I am is because I'd just as soon not make any long runs at this point in time.

Ok. I think I know what you are saying but I don't see how. I know certain little differences can have an impact but Im not seeing it. I always look to pick up hints that can help so thank you.

Makes it harder for crabs and pinfish to get to the bait. That is if you have a lot of pinfish in your area.

took it off on Saturday. Ended up cutting that sucker off. Gonna be a lot easier stacking traps on the bow from now on.
