Rented a boat out of Causeway Marina.  Dropped traps just outside the marina.  The mornings catch was great.  A lot of throw backs.  But managed to  boat about 40 keepers all over 5".  One really big 7".  Started crabbing at 9:30.  Should have got out earlier!  As the day progressed the crabbing slowed.  Ended the day with about 52 keepers.  A good day overall!

Went out of Causeway Marina again.  Called the day before.  They said they already had reservations for 50 boats.  So they could not reserve one for me.  But if I got there first thing in the morning they would let me have one.  So 6:30 am rolled around and I was "knocking on the door".  Took my grandson with this time.  He had a blast.  He's a bit hyper.  Wanted to check the traps every 5 seconds.  Well it was a great day.  Totaled out at over 90 all 5 plus.  It was slow at first.  but then the tide changed and we started slamming them.  Got about a dozen 7 plus.  One guy stopped to chat, as he and his family were going in. They had a cooler and a half full of crabs.  The son showed us one crab that must have been about 9".  The claws were huge.  We threw back a lot.  Even ones that measured over 5" point to point (long points), but the bodies were small.  A great day!
