Ok call me crazy I went crabbing today. Winds steady 25 gusting to 40+.
I don't know why but today I did good. Less than 1/2 mile apart this line almost doubled yesterdays catch. Lost/stolen 5 traps. Makes me made as heck. Brand new traps too.
220 traps on a week set:
100 Lbs. of 7" crabs and 196 to dock total 296 pounds of 1's and 26 pounds of 2's

Hi, Ronnie,
It is nice to see the crabs.
I lost 6 pots last year. Sometimes people run boat over the float and you will lose a pot.
I can not wait to pull my trap this Thursday.

You guys should really appreciate this catch. No one else went out today. The lake was bad. It really doesn't get any worse and this man comes in with this catch. Truly amazing. I have my boat ready to go for tomorrow but as I sit here on my porch swing, the trees are bending hard and I don't hold much hope. I am always ready to go but this is tough. Let's see what tomorrow brings. Ronnie truly has the balls of an elephant to do what he did today.

I drove over the Spillway today and the lake on the southshore wasn't too bad since we have the southerly winds, the northshore had to be rocking.

i know it's late but if you want to see the true fury of the lake, you can meet me out at the launch at peavine tormorrow. i will let you see what these winds are bringing. It is nothing more than a tropical storm. i may or may not go tormorrow, but if you are there and i go, you can hicth a ride and see. just look for me in the only aluminum boat. i will take you on an adventure.

i am ready and willing for tomorrow. the price of crabs just went up this week. of course it would be in these conditions but i will give it my worst. ronnie went out in some mess today. i will try tomorrow, but i can tell all of you this, if it is what it was today..... i ain't going. ronnie was in a slop today and it is hard raising traps in this mess. But when the money is there... WE GO.....

well, yesterday was a no go and as i sit here and listen to the thunder and watch a light show outside, it's not looking too good for today. looking at the radar, it's a steady line of red. errrrrr. it's like there is a thin line that has right where we are in the line of fire.
