I am designing the propstick that i am going to build.  i wanted some input on how high off the water do yal prefer, and how long do you make your propstick out from the side of the boat to the inside of the roller.

It is all personal preferance, location of stick vs. dipping location.  I personally like mine low and about 1 1/2 dip net head distance from the side of the boat and I line to "break" the water just behind me dipping if that makes sense

The prop stick on one of my boats is adjustable, in and out.

That way I can run with the dip net under the line, with a line on the dip net and pull it up when it gets a 1/4 to half full.

Or move the stick out to dip one at a time.

About 10" off the water for height.
