Why 2 buoys?

I remember those days.  A prop stick was a 2X4 with two nails for the line to go between, clorox bottles and 300 feet of line. The 12" float requirement is what makes it a little more complicated. (I think) My other problem is space, so I make everything fit into a 5 gal bucket, anchors, chain, trotline and deflated floats.

You didnt need much space, as 300ft and an hour was all you needed to fill a basket at that time.

Takes two buckets. I do everything in one.

Now that I have a bigger boat, I could do buckets. I used to carry a few with lids in the back of my truck just in case the inflatables got a hole.  I use those small grapnel anchors and they hold better with chain. Even with the added chain, they take up very little space.

One bucket?    Talking about simple, I have one bucket with everything in it, everything, including inflatable floats and the trotline.
