One morning, a husband returns the family boat to their lakeside cottage after several hours of fishing and decides to take a nap. Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to take the boat out. She motors out a short distance, anchors, puts her feet up, and begins to read her book. The peace and solitude are magnificent.
 
Along comes a Fish and Game Warden in his boat. He pulls up alongside the woman and says, "Good morning, Ma'am. What are you doing?"
 
"Reading a book," she replies, (thinking, "Isn't that obvious?").
 
"You're in a Restricted Fishing Area," he informs her.
 
"I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading."
 
"Yes, but I see you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment. I'll have to take you in and write you up."
 
"If you do that, I'll have to charge you with sexual assault," says the woman.
 
"But I haven't even touched you," says the Game Warden.
 
"That's true, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment."
 
"Have a nice day ma'am," and he left.
 
MORAL: Never argue with a woman who reads. It's likely she can also think.

You guys are really getting me excited!!!  Trying to talk to ol' man in to getting that boat ready now, still have chicken necks left over from last year (no thank to the hurrican and tropical storm!)  I was ready to buy crabs the other day because I just can't take it any more!

If you're catching 2 bushels of crabs pre-season, are you throwing them back?  Just by the fact that you said you caught 2 bushels means you measured them by keeping them in 2 baskets, unless you're really good at estimating.

Do what you want, but good luck getting out of a DNR ticket by giving the officer a BS line like "I'm feeding the crabs"

I'm pretty sure that if you have gear in the water out of season (and yes handlines are crabbing gear) you're gonna get a ticket.

I think you are right crabslayer!  Same as setting gear before a half an hour before sun-up, you will get a ticket for attempting to catch crabs or crabbing before the legal time.  I know this first hand! Cry

Two crabs were sunbathing on the beach.
The girl crab suggested that the boy crab go get them an ice cream cone.

Having purchased two cones, Mr Crab made his way back to the beach, deciding on the way to eat his ice cream. By the time he had finished the ice cream, he realized that his girlfriend's had started to melt all down his claw, so he licked it up and ended up eating it too.

When he arrived back at the beach Ms Crab exclaimed "Where's my ice cream cone?

"Well", he said. "I decided to eat mine, then yours melted so I ate that too."

She was incensed and cried "You shellfish bastard!!"
