Got my fishing gear yesterday and finally made up my mind to go out this morning. Out at choptank pier between 6:45am-12pm. I was the only crabber out there. Didn't see any crabbing boats either. Eight traps throughout the whole first half of the pier. Zero catches->zero keepers. Water was pretty cold. Air was chilly this morning. At least I caught my first fish today.

Thanks for the report.. I went over to my pier in crab alley today. I didn't bother dropping any bait. It felt to cold and just didn't feel crabby. I did pick up a extendable crab net. My old one was a little heavy to maneuver while crabbing solo. This new one i call grease lightning lol. It strikes fast and kills everything it hits. Couple more weeks till things heat up. Good luck time..

I also ordered an extendable net online.  Should arrive this week. Hoping it works out.
