I'll get this party started with an 8 1/2" starter motor I caught this Friday 4/6/12 on Lake Pontchartrain. Used the Coonass Crab-O-Meter v2.0 to measure (2 Home Depot rulers screwed to a square). Not as sophisticated as the Mutzy, but works well on the boat for crabs, trout, and redfish (which is why it is 16" long).

NICE crab.. Competition is going to be stiff this season. Soon as the water warms up a bit the Maryland monsters will be out. Lets go Maryland- PA

Upgraded to my best ever at 8 3/4" on my trip Sunday, see "Gulf Coast Reports/ Lake Pontchartrain 4 29" The area I crab is supposed to be excellent following years when the river is diverted into it as flood relief for New Orleans. Lots of freshwater and nutrients and the system just explodes. Right now the speckled trout fishing is great and the crabs are big, hope they keep growing all summer. Good luck to all when you get out there.

I think I may have him beat. This guy was too aggressive to put a tape on, but I think you can see from size and scale that he's huge.

I know Huntbird has 1 better and 1 equal, but EJMac110 and I caught this mumbo 8-1/2" today. New personal best for me. Funny thing was, we didn't catch any others better than 6-3/4". I guess that's crabbing for you.
Tattoo, I'll be bringing this one to you for mounting. Probably in a week or so.

I'll take him mounted as-is. That's how I found him. Yes, its a shame he has a gimp claw, but many large ones do. I figure- how many of these am I going to catch in my life? Hopefully more, but I'll mount them too!!!
