Pretty crab, congrats on the starter motor (see below)!  Definitely have to keep as the Lord gave him to you.  Interesting that a lot of big crabs have a small claw.  Assume it is because they are growing and shedding slower so there is more time for them to bring a claw to a gun fight:).

My crabs are coming from traps these days, but when i was trotlining we used to call the really big crabs starter motors.  When the trotline angle would dip down I knew there was a crab on.  The steeper the angle the bigger the crab. One time the line was really steep and we were excited and getting ready for a monster crab; turned out to be a starter we snagged...Henceforth, big crabs on my boat are starter motors.  But yous will look much better on the mantle.

Maybe we should of had the "Smallest" crab caught contest this year, that way there would be all kinds of pictures to admire.    Grin Grin Grin       laugh laugh laugh

I know Huntbird has 1 better and 1 equal, but EJMac110 and I caught this mumbo 8-1/2" today.  New personal best for me.  Funny thing was, we didn't catch any others better than 6-3/4".  I guess that's crabbing for you.

Tattoo, I'll be bringing this one to you for mounting.  Probably in a week or so.

Great crab Greg, just noticed your post.  Can't wait to see how Rich does on the mount.   Grin
