OK  Looks like things are slowing down.  Didn't post any pic's last week but had 475 pounds.  First time for me ran ALL 450 in one day.  Prices fell and fuel and bait went up.  Go figure.

yesterday ran 220 traps on a 5 day set:

116 lbs no 1's  34 lbs no 2's

Crawfish season is in full swing.  Bobby's Restaurant where I sell my crabs store sacks of crawfish in the cooler along with my crabs.  Each sack holds 30-40 pounds.  Most are boiled and sold $2.99 a pound.

Sunday he is expecting to sell 500 sacks of crawfish in 2 hrs.  Live $2.50 a pound

Yeah.  He does run hoop nets and sell the heads but doesn't catch enough to supply everyone.  Heads are delivered by 18 wheelers 3 times a week.

Mother's day is another big day for crawfish.   Usually by Father's day crawfish are to hard and not eatable.

Going to go out and run some traps.  Rain finally stopped but the winds are still up.  SE at 20.

No wait!!!  I didn't catch those crawfish.  Wish I had.  Those come mostly from farm raised.  Few wild but mostly farm raised.

some up and down weeks eh ronnie. i didn't do that well last week. this week, i baited heavier and the catch went up. 94 number ones. 34 number twos. about 30 shedders. bunch of paper shells .. i've been fighting a cold and up to my ears in work. hopefully after the holidays, my life will calm back down and i can do some posts with pictures.. got hit hard with gas and bait this week...  Shocked think i'm going to buy 10 or 15 more traps to make up for ones gone missing.. talk with you later..
