Well I think we caught dem all.

220 traps on a six day set(bait was probably gone in 3)

96 lbs. no. 1's  39 lbs no. 2's

Traps are getting dirty (grassy).  Not enough crabs to walk off the grass.  Plenty and I mean plenty of small crabs from 1/2" to 4".  Traps look like they are raining crabs.  Catching as many as 15 3" crabs a trap.  Great outlook for later this year and next year but not for today.

Baited heavy (2-3 heads per trap).  Bait should last 4-5 days with those catfish heads.
We'll find out Friday.

Hi, Ronnie,

Still decent catch.

They are also a lot of small crabs here at coastal bend of texas from Neuce to Laguana madre. Next year or later this year will be better.

Just bought 155 used traps for $8 a piece. They were just used 4 to 5 months. I can put 400 traps in water when the crabbing is good.

My crab traps are also very hairy. I will bring more traps back tommorrow if they are too dirty or hairy.

The crab price are high here. Some retailer sells $2.5 a piece big and $1.5 small. I still sells them at $18 to $12 per dozen depend on size. I sold every crabs this year except for the crabs that I picked out for myself.

Enjoy the fun and hard work.
