It's a shame that they never get any more plentiful than that on the Choptank. Life is Good on the Choptank

Just one of the few bad apples that keeps wizzing in the MSSA's and TF's milk. Not because I have violations (because I don't'), but because I'm catching the resources that they claim to own and have more rights to.

I know the Wye is the best....I just can't afford to drive the extra 10-15 miles. So I stop short and have to take the few leftovers that I can find.....it's sad, tragic actually!

The Wye is good, but it comes in a distant second to the inner harbor of Baltimore. Just rent you a little paddle dragon boat, and lay out a 100' trotline, and you will have a bushel in no time at all. Just too far for me to drive.

Sure can. My wife just had me up there this past weekend to watch the opening day O's game and spend the weekend for our aniversary. Way too expensive up there. I could have taken her to Cancun for what we spent from Fri - Sun up there. Don't take this the wrong way, but I feel sorry for the people that have to live up there. (If I never get to heaven, at least I can say I enjoyed heaven on earth while living in Delmarva)

Wonder what they'd say if I took a net and bushel basket up there with a line in it.

That's because you fell into the tourist traps. B-more is like any other city. I wouldn't spend a nickel on the O's or the Ravens. I feel sorry for the people who have to commute an hour from their beautiful communities to the city for work, when I live within walking distance to my job.

yep i am 1 of those knuckleheads who drive the distant, i drive from Denton to northeast 1 1/2 hour 1 way.been doing it over 2 yrs now. it kinda sucks but got to pay the bills . I've been crabbing the eastern bay and never been disappointed the wye is great but i will only go during the week or in the afternoon.that way i don't have to deal with the over crowding just to many butt heads trying to go crabbing. and i dont hit the wye until late in the season anyway

For the last 18+ years, I've been living like a king. 2 mile ride to work, 3 mile ride to the boat ramp, look out the window of the house at the water. May not last too much longer, but it's been a good run.
