Hit the water around 11:15 am armed with 30 traps baited with necks, followed shortly by Rapp414 and shedking (plus three shedkinglings) in Rapp's Carolina Skiff where they uncoiled a trotline.
Dropped my traps along my normal line, but dropped the traps a little closer together than normal because of strong winds and choppy conditions. Got about 2/3 of my traps off the boat then picked up rapp414 from his boat and put him to work on mine.
Did four runs (more like 3.5) through the traps through the slack high tide and the beginnings of the outgoing tide. Wind was travelling the same way as the outgoing tide so it made conditions difficult out there. Water temps were around 55 degrees. Lots of seaweed out there, lot of sponge crabs, a couple of horseshoe crabs... and a decent amount of keeper blue crabs. Got off the water around 2:30ish with a little more than 3/4 bushel of mixed Jimmies and Sooks. Almost every crab was of size, so there were very few throwbacks due to size. Large crab was just over 6.5". Lots of crabs hovering in the 5.75" to 6" range.
Only a couple of photos back at the house to include today.

The bit was on Friday. Saturday it dropped off. shedking said it was significantly slower after having crabbed both days.

Maybe so, but that could have been because of less bait in the water...........
