Picked up a bakers dozen on a Delaware Bay creek today.  The wind was kicking, nothing like a flat bottom skiff in the wind it really messes with the old glide path!  We dropped 10 traps and worked them for about 2 hours.  Probably should have put out all 20 and let them soak a little longer.  The water temp was 56 degrees and the crabs were moving in slooooooooow motion.

Lots of small crabs but just enough keepers to entice us to stay and work the line.  The ones we kept were 5 to 6 inches.  We don't usually keep females but we were working pretty hard so they stayed on this trip, 8 Males 5 Females.   We worked the outgoing tide to dead low.  Nice just to be out on the water again!

PS  First crabs of the year!  They sure were tasty!

What did you put on the dog's nose to stop the bleeding?

Looks like a fun day.
