Did some handlining today, a few crabs but a lot a algae pulled up and there's a lot starting on the pier ladders.

The water down broad creek last week was super clear and there was some kind of vegetation growing up from the bottom like seaweed but it was real light and pillowy like algae.  It was growing everywhere, I have never seen it before.  It came up on the crab pots like slime.

I love how clear the water is this time of year. I was checking out my spot in crab alley 2 weeks ago. I could see the bottom in about 5 feet of water. Didn't notice any of the seaweed stuff. Better luck on your next trip out..
