Where to find Pen Shells in Central Florida?

I managed to get a few one very cold morning on the Gulf a few years ago when the cold made them wash up on shore and got a taste for them but now we live on the other coast I cant find them anywhere. Oysters and clams, yes lots, pen shells, nope, not one.

Does anyone know where they live or how to find them?
