Got next  week (April 21-28)  in Perdido Key FL at the AL line on the Old River. Any idea what to expect? Best on the river dock or elsewhere? Haven't found out anywhere else if it's too early to take the trap... Thanks!

OK, here's the answer: Rain and cold front resulted in 6 large crabs, (one female with eggs) Saturday to Tuesday. Water temp in 10 ft. of Old River water of 70*
Tuesday to Friday, caught 15 more, all quite large, mostly male, water temp up to 73-74* by Friday. Used commercial pot with chicken leg quarters. Fishing guide said it's still a mite early...

Thanks for the report! It only gets better now as the water temps rise!
