I dont know if they are welks or what but sometimes i catch what look to be welk snails in my crab traps...Can you eat these snails??? I'm gonna try them next time just curious is i've been throwing back prime es car go all my life...thanks

Yes, Those are probably Smooth Welk.  Do a google search for verification.
Known as scungelli: they are edible. Most people like them sliced thin and in a cold salad.
I prefer them diced small and in a red gravy over linguini with mushrooms  and meatballs.
