Coming in to VA Beach from South Jersey to visit a Navy buddy and would like to get out for some blue claws. Where can I launch a 10' jon boat? Where are some good spots to hit? Thanks

I second that.. both great ramps, protected water, and probably your best chance for catching em right now

Where would you be coming from? Assuming your going to be in the Ocean Front area:

Rudee Inlet (Owls Creek)- Right next to the Virginia Aquarium- Follow Pacific Ave south (towards the lower st numbers), cross over the bridge for the inlet and stay on that until it turns into General Booth Blvd. Look for it on your right just before the Aquarium. If you pass the Ocean Breeze Waterpark you have gone too far. The address is     701 General Booth Blvd.  Virginia Beach, VA 23451

Lynnhaven Inlet (Crab Creek)- Basically the opposite of the directions above. Go North on Pacific Ave (towards the higher numbered cross streets) until you make the 90* turn and it turns into Shore Drive. Stay on Shore drive until you cross over the inlet (Lesner Bridge) and it will be your first left once you cross the bridge. Make the immediate left on that street and you will be in the ramp/beach parking. It will cost you a few bucks to park here and its on the honor system.
