Headed back out to the power plant prepared to see another good showing like we did from back in late march, and [dang] I was wrong. Set 600 ft trotline and 16 traps with necks. water temp was 63 degrees and busted our butts to get a half bushel in 5 hours. Tried depths from 3 ft to 10 ft and there was no consistency. Threw back about a bushel and half of sponge crabs. My biggest down fall of this trip was timing I believe. I have found that it didn't matter if it is Crisfield MD, the Wye River, or even Indian river that my best production hours are from sunrise to 10 am and from 5 pm to to sunset with tides playing a little variable difference between different areas. This last trip we didn't get out til 10 am and it slowly declined from hour to hour. Just my opinion many can argue but that seems to be my analysis. Oh well hopefully crisfield will be jumping by the time I get to Jane's island in early June
