No, there weren't any keepers. Crappy day for crabs, but great day for paddling and filming.

Enjoyed the video.  Just wish the winds would die down here so that I can crab from the kayak.

nice job,   don't let your shadow go over the traps before you pull them it spooks them

Cool.  What kind of camera and how did you mount it to take shots of you pulling traps?

I used a GoPro Hero2 camera with YakAttack PanFish Portrait and Dog Bone mounts.

It is similar to the attached picture.

Those gopro cameras are really cool. A lot of people are using them for making surf videos.

I can only stress on so many things in one day - looks like you're not making the list. Tomorrow isn't looking so hot, either.

Thanks. The underwater one is not mine. It's a link from YouTube. I will edit my post to give credit to the OP.

Great vid & blog. I've been yak crabbing the last 2 years and it's no doubt a blast. If you ever get a chance to trade that yak, you have to get a hobie w/ a mirage drive. Hands free & a rudder allows you to run a trot line too.
Keep up the good work and way to keep the fam involved.

Thanks. Glad to hear from other Yak crabbers in the forum.

I do not mind paddling. I actually got the kayak to get some exercise. It can be exhausting, but as you said, a blast. I have seen Metroman running a trotline. That guy is awesome. Maybe I'll try it someday.
