well got some crab i want to know if it is allright to put them on ice all night and cook and clean in the morning if they are not alive and they have been on ice all night

I have steamed a many a crab.  I have found that any crab that is dead or even still tends to be mushy when steamed.  Even if on ice the entire time.

So long as they were alive when they were put on ice, I cook & eat them.  Icing them will usually kill them so throw out dead crabs first or you won't be able to tell the difference & make someone sick.
