Went to jamaica bay ny.  Caught 15 spidercrabs in a matter of 2 hours (all adults).  I wanted blue crabs.  Im going to wash and boil them now.  Wish me luck everyone.  Im gonna post back later tonight and tommorow.

Okay.   Thats some sweet crab.  Wierd looking but lets say i wont.   be throwing them away anymore.  My father in law who was eating them with me said they tasted like dungenous crab.  I deem them as edible. laugh

Thank you for this thread, I honestly had no idea spider crabs could even be enjoyed. I'll give the claws a go if I catch any Smiley I'm all for food adventures.
