Went to turkey point to scout out some crabbing for a VIP I have coming down latter in the month,  Ramp was just to soft for me and the gnat were thick as thiefs, So head to Dividing creek  20 traps with necks  first run 25 horse shoe crabs 3 blue crabs  2nd run  some traps we could not even pull they had 4 horseshoe crabs in them must of caught 50 of them that run and they were bending the traps.  So we moved.  Next spot  all small crabs 2 runs no keeper Cry so we were going to call it a day.  But I ran the boat over to turkey point  what a good move  thumbsup did three runs 20 traps  half a bushel all jimmies all over 5"  largest 6.75  most close to 6" super nice crabs and rusty

Is there a ban on horseshoe in Jersey right now?  I've heard talk but I'm not sure.

It is that time of the year for horseshoe crab mating - the Fortescue beach is loaded with them & there were hundreds of seagulls pecking the eggs out of the sand.  Noisy too!
