Early May Cape Cod Canal lobster report

Pulled my gear yesterday. Did ok....there is usually a lull about this time of year for a month or so.......There is a lot of bait in the canal. I have seen river herring, sea herring, mac's, pogies and sand eels in the last week. The bigger stripers are here in good numbers already.....Anyhow I got a dozen keepers plus the usual shorts and eggers......Lobster salad for lunch today........

The only thing that would be even cooler if you did it while wearing camoflage.

Look at that pile of lobbies! I love how you say "Did OK" HAA! That's awesome.
I think in my later years, once I retire and have time to travel to the canal weekly, I need to get into this and get myself a recreational permit!

Went to pull Traps,5/27/12, 4 keepers,1 short.Best I've done all Spring.A bunch of good sized Green Crabs in Trap also,I just chuck them back in.Getting a little tougher to pull due to the amount of Fisherman along the banks of the Canal. For the most part everybody that I meet are Good about the short Interuption.they have been hitting some good sized Stripers this early season.
