Headed out of Rosedale about 8 30 with 20 traps baited with necks.First run 1 keeper, multiple sponges, did 1 more run with same results. After catching over a bushel of sponges on Monday,we decided to move, headed closer to power plant and got somewhat better results, headed to the ramp around 1 with 3 dozen. It was a nice day all in all other than running into some riff raff in a Trophy that was tagged in Md.I was tempted to alert the officials after seeing how shifty every one on board looked, but didn't,hopefully it wasn't a mistake,I'll have to check crime reports to see if it was a mistake not reporting them.

I'm wondering if he surfaced under his boat.

I made a very swift get away and was sure to not spend one red cent in your wretched state.  laugh laugh. I too was devoured by the evil sponge crabs. Moved up to the power plant as well and laid in 4-12 feet. did much better. Finished with a packed orange basket and half of another. Great day on the water . ready to eat a few now. PS didnt take his net(even though it was offered) but did take his hook.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Tongue Tongue

I have both of my nets{for now,but it's still very early in the season} I am missing an orange basket, but I think I parted company with that while I was cleaning the carbon buildup out of my cylinders.I guess I can't blame the cheap marylanders for that,it would have been nice if they'd have dropped a few bucks on something other than a burger or gas.It was nice to see the marine police out in case they come back.

Not sure Ron ,I know they're the ones that check for life jackets and safety equipment,I see different ones when I'm out there, unless maybe they're in different boats, fortunately I've only had one encounter with them, just checking that the kids had their life jackets on
