Delaware crabs are much smaller, pretty tasty though, nothing compares to md crabs for size and taste in my opinion

I disagree on all counts. The size of the IR crabs isn't bad at all in my opinion.

There no crabs in Md. Don't bother going, it's not worth your time and gas.

Look up mulberry pond behind finwick island. There's a creek that's goes up in there a ways. That's where my buddy and i would catch nice size crabs. You can put your boat in a harpoon Hannahs. I don't think i spelled that right. Its right off rt 54 bridge. Be careful its shallow up in those areas. Follow the markers..

I looked up the sponge cycle and if the info I got is correct it's about 2 weeks, the thing I found interesting is that out of up to 1 million eggs they think 1 or 2 make it to being crabs. To answer your other questions, most people on here post the depth they did well in,other than that I can't give any good info,I'm the worst spot picker that ever lived

I read a similar article you are citing, but I recall it stating out of 1,000,000 eggs 1 or 2 bushel make to harvest. Not trying to stir the pot, just stating as I recall.

No problem Soggy,I certainly don't take everything I read on the internet for Gospel.I appreciate the link and plan on reading the article.I do also wonder how they track it,but modern science is pretty amazing.
