The dipper kept me crabbing when I got my appendix out, all I had to do was hook the line.

Ray,

I'm in the same boat.  Having had sugar for 10 years and 2 heart attacks (I'm still only 46 now), the dipper makes it easier on me.

Yeah, but can you (bait a line or sort crabs, and talk on the cell phone), all while running another line? Grin

I didn't say it didn't hurt.  The first couple of days all I could do was walk around the kitchen table.  Took a full year to recouperate.  Not only that the stupid azz nurse forgot to give me my pain meds that evening of the bypass.  Once I got to intensive care that morphine button was my best friend.  Grin

Well, I did get up in the middle of the night the first night in a room and shut the door because it was noisy in the hall. The night nurse came in a while later and woke me up and wanted to know why the door was closed. I told her I couldn't sleep and got up and closed it. Talk about an a** reaming!! Roll Eyes

Since you put it that way.   Grin  Broken coller bone and ripped ACL with piece of shin attached in a racing accident at Roebling Roads, GA.  Dislocated skapula at Summit Point, WV doing the same.  Busted the socket end off of my Ulna when a latter collapsed on me.

Don't know when your crab season gets going up there, but here I'm good with the dipper until late may.  After that it's no way around it(dead loss in the box).  If you have buyers that are moving a lot of crabs or cooking and reheating your fine but, no comparison when it comes to the box life June-Aug.

Agreed, run dipper when temps are lower. Then put it away when it gets hot!
