Would like to head down to Crab Alley for my first crabbing venture in a long time…..and my 8 year old son’s first ever crabbing trip. Planning on the Friday or Saturday of Memorial day weekend…..

Anyway, thought we would launch from Crab Alley Marina……seems like a descent place to launch from. Anyone else ever launch from there? How are the facilities? Fees? Parking? Hours? Cant seemto find any info online other than address & phone number.

Also, it looks like from old reports I should try up in Crab Alley Creek….off the sides of the channel??

I have launched from there Mike, if you do not have a permit there is a fellow right beside there that is pay as you go.

Depends on how many tmies you plan to frequent - out of state permit is 60 bucks for the season.

Ok contact Shedking on here. I think he has the fellows number and you can call him - the picture show where he is in relation to the public or county launch.

Mike007,  the public boat ramp at Crab Alley is in Queen Anne County and the ramp is actually on Little Creek. A non resident can buy a yearly permit for 60 bucks, or a daily permit for 15.  Here is a link to QA County recs and parks,  http://parksnrec.org/landings-a-piers.html

I know that Angler's on rte.50 just before the Bay Bridge sells them, as well as Chesapeake Outdoors on Dominion Rd @ rte.50 (eastern shore side). Dominion Road would be your access to the ramp as well (follow to dead end, turn right and then go to dead end and ramp).

I do know that there is a marina next door to the public ramp, but I don't know any details about it.

Good luck with your adventure.
