fat gets peeled off, and frozen for minnow traps, and neck is cut up in 1.5 inch pieces.

So really what you're saying about Richardsons' is that the family is great but their chickens are foul.  (foul/fowl...get it?).   laugh laugh

Clydes Sport Shop in Linthicum Heights (Baltimore) 40lbs $20

I buy at Bullocks Meat in Carroll County where I live, last year I purchased a bulk order of 50lbs in 10lb bags for $26.50 but they were seperated, so little extra and they were all fresh and not in a frozen 40lb block, but you have to call for order, I hear they will freeze wrap 10lbs portions for $7.50 each

I get mine at Mars as well. Just called to put in an order for a 40 pound box for $24. They are right up the street from me. I also put the chicken necks in separate bags when I get home. I put 30 to 35 necks in a bag. 30 traps means one bag. I put a few extra in a bag in case a few get eaten up to much or taken. I usually take 2 bags per trip and bring one back. depending on how many small crabs are around. I usually throw away the necks after one trip. I just don't feel like bagging them all up again and would just rather feed the crabs to fatten up for next time we meet.
