I believe most of the topless traps are designed to have a dimension of 12"x12"x12" in height (excluding the bigfoots).  Has anyone experimented with lower the height of this style of trap to 7 or 8"?

Actaully most are designed as 10x10 then MD upt the size to 12x12 and now it is up to 15x20... I do well with the 10x10  and the 12x12 but also use a few 15x20 once in a while where the hot spot in my line is... or in the fall when the crabs usuallly run a little better
